Plastic Free July – REUSE + RECYCLE WRAPPING paper and RIBBON

These Plastic Free July posts were from a series featured on the Santosha Instagram profile and Facebook page. They are short and sharp posts intended to share how I have minimised the usage of plastic in my life.

When we built our house I didn’t want a store room. To me it was just a place to store more stuff. The less space for stuff, the less stuff. In my opinion. I lost. We have a store room. And I use it. Mostly for storing bulk food I buy, but also wrapping paper, ribbons and cards. Not stuff I’ve bought, but stuff I am recycling. Much to the disgust and frustration of my cousin, I carefully unwrap each present so as not to tear the paper. I then fold the paper and store it along with the ribbon, to wrap presents for other people. I need to give more presents because I have a lot of paper and ribbon. If you need any, just ask me and you can go through my store room. Cellophane and ribbon are just more bits of single use plastic that we don’t need in this world 🌏
