Plastic Free July – buy or grow REAL CHRISTMAS trees

These Plastic Free July posts were from a series featured on the Santosha Instagram profile and Facebook page. They are short and sharp posts intended to share how I have minimised the usage of plastic in my life.

If you have one, don’t throw it out. Perhaps you can donate it. And if you don’t have one but want a plastic one, go to where that person is donating it and buy it for $5. Please don’t buy a new one.
Each year I take delight in finding what sort of Christmas Tree I can come up with. We have had sticks spray painted white, we have had a real tree from Paringa Christmas Tree Farm (that was my favourite). Last year we had a wooden tree. We’ve also had a garden ornament decorated with lights and balls (all in the image) 👆🏼
Do we really need those cheap, plastic, fake supermarket trees???
I do realise I am suggesting a single use tree 🙄 when the rest of the month has been about #noexcuseforsingleuse
